Character sketch... 
A recent character sketch drawn from scratch - no references used.
I think the proportions are off, but I also intended it to look a little strange/non-human.
This took several hours over the course of three days. On day one, I started with a really basic drawing of the character's face. The next evening, I worked on drawing the body/form. And on the last day, I cleaned up the form and did some minor shading/coloring... I just kept building on the character, extending the image and details until I lost focus (that always happens with me, eventually).
I think this is probably one of the better concepts I've produced solely "from memory" - I'm always striving to improve.Jun 22nd 2012
